Sacred History

• This village is known as Shristhal.
• It is said that Maharaj Mulraj constructed a Shivalay, which remained incomplete. The completion was done by Sidh Raj Jay Sinh after which the village became famous as Sidhpur.
• There were 5 temples, but at present only 2 remains.
• At the time of Sidh Raj Jay Sinh his mantri Alingdev built a Chaumukhi Jinalay where Parshwanath Bhagwan’s Pratishtha was done also.
• Allahuddin Khilji who was a terror, came here to destroy the Jinalay and Pratima.
• The Bhojak requested Khilji not to do it as he is a living murti and then Khilji challenged them to prove it.
• The Bhojak’s kept 99 diyas in front of Bhagwan and started their Bhakti.
• After sometime, the diyas started lighting miraculously which stunned Khilji and made him realise that this is the real Badshah (Badshaho ke Badshah = Sultan).
• After this incident, the Pratima is famoused as Sultan Parshwanath.
• The Pratima is said to be Samprati Kalin.
